We hope this letter finds you in good health and fear-free amidst  the unpredictability of the current economic situation. For us the last 12 months have been hard work in many ways but it’s rewarding to see Peter & Andrew maturing, and growing in their understanding of what’s most important.

The year has flown by as usual, with the routine of school for Chris and the boys and the daily grind at BT for Tim interspersed with some precious breaks together (in retrospect not enough of them though).

Our main holiday was Key Camping in France where the weather was great and the region (the Loire Valley near Blois) fascinating.

In November we reached the milestone of 25 years of home ownership, and were  pleased/relieved to get from the Pru an endowment policy payout which more than  covers the required mortgage payback.

Following closely on the heels of that date will be our silver wedding anniversary (end of January). We haven’t quite yet worked out how to celebrate it, ‘cos we’d love to include friends from all over the UK in the fun somehow. Maybe a grand tour of Nottingham, Coventry, Sheffield and  Solihull is called for—watch this space!

2009 will see another significant milestone passed when Peter moves up to secondary school—but that’s 10 months away so let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves!
