Peter celebrated his 9th birthday last week by taking ten friends to see ‘Flushed Away’ at the local cinema. His main present was a pair of inline skates and the protective gear to go with them. As he’s never tried skating before the next few weeks could be a bit painful! This term he started learning the guitar and joined the school choir. His Big Event this year was to go with Chris to Cambodia to visit her friend Emily for eight days – luckily most restaurants serve pasta so he didn’t have to face the more ‘interesting’ local delicacies (like deep-fried spider).

Andrew is now well settled in Year 2 and has almost learnt to read well enough to start to enjoy books on his own – but not quite. He seems be a natural for Maths and manages to do pretty well in spelling tests too, although always has a moan when it’s homework time. But then did you have to do homework when you were 6? He loves his Gameboy and computer games and also recreating them with toys in very imaginative ways.
