Scarey close-upNot quite so scarey close-upTim What no moustache! After 22 years! Whilst in France I decided to have a change and have since been gratified to get lots of ‘ooh you look much younger’ comments! As far as BT is concerned my workload has been more manageable this year and I even got a promotion (though no pay rise to match grrr). I’m a Business Development Manager in BT Business Sales, and lead a small team.

Chris Of course Steady Eddie and Batman need regular attention (guinea pigs, for those who don’t remember). I am still part of the church leadership and music teams, and the Marlow Bottom ‘Valley News’ editorial team. We both also help plan and run a monthly “multimedia” family service at the MB Methodist church which draws in about 10 families each time. I’m still cook, cleaner, gardener and head of purchasing but also manage to fit in reading at school and taking a 7262 Diploma in Using Information Technology Level 1. This involves doing 4 hours of self-paced IT training a week at a local centre. By this time next year who knows what I will be able to do! A highlight for me this Autumn was organising the church congregation weekend away, which stretched my administrative skills greatly. We had Sue Rinaldi with us leading worship—she was great. Also earlier in the year I visited my friend Emily in Cambodia once again. Emily is working to set up training schemes for pre-school teachers so that the poorer young children of Phnom Penh can have a better start in life. I'm planning to go next February too, and this time I'm going to take Peter.

Cor we’re old: this October marked 25 years since we first met and got together (Ahhhhhhhhhhh).
