Chris' bit

T2Peter says to tell you that "I like everything to do with Thunderbirds". For his birthday he got T1, 2, 4 and 5 (and the mole), which he thought was wonderful - the problem is that his friend has got the whole set and Tracy Island as well. I think that old Blue Peter version can still be found on the Internet somewhere...... He is getting on really well at Pre-School, he enjoys playing with cars, trains or tricycles and also making things to bring home. We are already running out of places to stick or hang up the various rockets, planets, moths and so on. He has several pals who do everything together, and they can hype each other up so much that it's often mid-afternoon before he comes down off the ceiling! It's great for him to be making friends with children that he will go on to school with and who may be lifelong mates.

Andrew enjoys his Jo Jingles music sessions very much. He has his own class on a Monday and also goes along to Peter's on a Friday. He's picking up songs and actions really quickly and has such a great time. He copies everything that Peter does and also shows Peter a thing or two (usually mischievous). He climbs on everything and amazes us that he isn't black and blue from all the tumbles. Peter and Andrew do have a lot of fun together and can often be heard laughing together about something -  usually a funny face or even hardly anything at all.

Peter, Andrew and I have been swimming reasonably often. Peter's confidence soon returned after the break we took when Andrew was born. Andrew taught himself to fall forwards into the water from a sitting position on the steps, whilst Peter now leaps in and does big splashes. It's lovely to see them both enjoying the water so much and sitting next to each other afterwards in the changing room wrapped up in towels.

I'm still the Waiting List Secretary for Peter's Pre-School, which as I hinted at last year is an ever-growing job. I'll have to be careful how much more I take on or else I'll have trouble passing the job on to someone else. I'm also still involved with the Valley News magazine which continues to find advertising funding to more than cover the cost. It's really good living in a community where you can actually get to know people and I particularly enjoy being able to wave to so many people that I know as I drive down the Marlow Bottom road.

We've had a number of other additions to our family this year - I had Flopsy and Mopsy for my birthday. Yes - rabbits. They have a large hutch and run, but spend all day free running in the garden. They've been a bit keen on some plants but hopefully next year we can plant some more of the kind that they don't seem to like. I have a book called 'Gardening with the Enemy' which has lists of plants others have found that rabbits don't like to eat.
