Chris´
`Work´
Peter has continued to love Jo
Jingles, the music session we have gone to since he was one, and Andrew has enjoyed coming
along too and has even had a go with some of the instruments. Unfortunately we
havent been able to keep up swimming every week since just before Andrews
birth as Mummy has so far not worked out how to go with both of them, although now that
Andrew is sitting confidently it is easier. Granny has come over a few times to help me -
this was to be a more regular thing but illness and tiredness on our part has prevented
this so far. Andrew did enjoy his first swim in his inflatable seat the other week - he
seemed completely at home in it - but it has to be said that the water temperature was so
high so he hardly noticed any difference to his nightly bath. We hope to do a lot more
swimming in the New Year.
Peter
started going to Pre-school three mornings a week in September. There are 24 children in
each session and he really enjoys it as long as they had the trains out
today or they had the cars out today. He has had the opportunity to
paint, and to play with sand, water, stones, a tray of dry tea leaves and on one occasion
a big pile of cooked spaghetti! We have a growing selection of art and are
wondering where to display it all. Hes started to talk a lot about the other
children who he obviously enjoys spending time with. We now have to deal with Can we
make a spinner like the one Molly had? and when asked to make a choice between
wearing shorts and trousers stated that James was wearing them both, so why couldn't he!
Peter is VERY keen on trains, peas, chocolate buttons, ice cream, milk,
fizzy drinks and sleeping in his bed. We are still amazed at the fact that he stays there
in the morning until you go and get him - practising for his teenage years no doubt.
Andrew has his eyes
on everything and his hands on what ever he can reach. He is a very happy child who rarely
cries for no real reason. It is great to hear Peter and him laughing together
Im sure theyre going to be good friends (as long as they dont both love
the same trains).
I continue to be involved in the
Valley News local community magazine, which this Christmas contains an
exclusive interview with Steve Redgrave (he lives just up the road from us
name-drop, name-drop). I have also taken on doing the Waiting List for the Pre-school, a
job which may turn out to be more than I was led to believe - only time will tell.
